Is any one at the Passion Arabians Production Sale in Bloomington, Il. scheduled today Dec. 3? Am interested in prices, especially on Jasmyne VF. I would have liked to have gone but had very little warning to the sale and was not able to arrange the time away so late in the year.

i tried to call there several times this week but always got a machine...i bet not many of the horses sell...they had several horses consigned here in ohio at a auction ......i think they sold 4 out of 20 due to the fact that they had very steep reserves on them..........i agree that the sale today was not advertised very well ..i saw it on their web page

I will be bidding over the phone on one horse that was cosigned. I am looking for a broodmare to add to our herd. I asked about some of there horses and when they told me there reserves I just shook my head. Good thing they couldn't see me as we were talking on the phone.

I had the same conversation and reaction as WCARABIANS. I actually laughed when I was on the phone and wished them luck with reaching their reserves at public auction. It will be interesting to see how many of the horses do actually sell.

I talked with the Passion folks too. Was also interested in a couple of horses listed. Doubt they will sell if they have too high a reserve. As I understand, not too many people are there.

Wish them the best

I'm happy to say we just purchased Baricha Bey at the sale #0484512. She will be a great add at our broodmare band. I tried to buy the horse from Gene Reichardt before the sale. He said he was committed. Now I just have to get her home, our plans are to breed her to Besson Carol this spring.

CONGRATULATIONS ! on this mare. My friends at the sale told me she was very nice as I was interested in a couple of the sale horses. They thought she was the one to buy. But.....the wallet is still in the pocket, so I'll just keep on searching.
Like I need another mare.....

I was there most of the day. We bought the weanling colt by PA Hi-Noon and out of WCA Mon Ami. A friend bought the Monogramm daughter, WCA Mon Ami (who is absolutely gorgeous...the deal of the sale IMO!), and we went in with her to get this colt (the mare is back in foal to Hi-Noon and she didn't want two full siblings). He'll be gelded and hopefully will be a performance horse for me someday! I think he'll be a lot of fun.

I felt prices were decent, but the amount of bidders was really low. We only stayed through the first 25 lots, so we missed the last 20. I had went to buy the Marwan filly, but she wasn't as nice as I had hoped, and I wasn't going to pay $5,000 or more for her because of that.

I left before she sold, Donna, sorry! It was my understanding that quite a few horses had reserves on them, but I'm not sure which ones all did.

I'm curious as to how much San Antonio SF went for if anyone knows!

Chelsea,
What was it about the Marwan filly that you didn't think she was that nice? I'm just curious. I had a friend there that wanted to bid on her, but said she waited until the bidding slowed and as soon as it did, they dropped the hammer on her. My friend could not get the spotter's attention, which seems somewhat suspicious to me, and the filly certainly sold for less than she would have had the "auction" been paying attention or had they been trying to get top dollar.

I was at the sale for the day and they stopped the sale. The Eternal Margariette and San Antonio SF were towards the end and didn't go through before they had stopped it. It was a nice event, white table clothes, catered and drinks. Some REALLY NICE horses!!!!!! I can see why they stopped the sale, it was a disappointing turn out but they did have some "heavy hitters" there. They only "announced" one "NO SALE" as the sale was going on and that was on Maggity Ann (Magnum Psyche x Kalila Ann). She was "NO SALED" at $6700!!!

Oh, you lucky gal!!! The Mongramm mare IFT High Noon was a great deal! 3 in one package, you can't beat that!!!
I liked the Marwan filly and had to sit on my hands. Another steal at $4600.

Yup, they just said the sale is over, thank you for coming if you have interst in any of the horses, come see us at the stall! IMO....after several of their quality horses only sold for 1500, 2000, 3000, they stopped. One mare of which was a ScottsdaleTop 5 filly, undersaddle only brought $2800......Now, wether they sold her or not I don't know! The auctioneer never said "no sale"! She was well worth so much more but the turn out was terrible and this is a bad time of year to sell horses. I believe it is still possible to call them and buy.

Does anyone remember if the Psymadre mare Jasmyne VF sold, or to whom she may have sold to? I have been interested in this mare and have tried to get owners to send me a video and set a price on her for a year now. I got the sale information just a few weeks ago and was unable to plan a trip from Id. to Il. on such short notice. Also was concerned about shipping a horse cross country during the winter.

Yes she was in the sale. Didn't go for much but I don't know who ended up w/the winning bid.
